Guy Gibson died at the age of 26 ~ shot down, it is now believed, by "friendly fire" from another British aircraft over the Netherlands whilst returning from a bombing raid .

I must admit you make it much more interesting than the RAF Instructors back in the sixties when I suffered many tedious hours of instruction in "RAF History and Traditions".

Interestingly (or not) the uniforms we wore then, although new, were all WWII vintage as the makers label informed us.
