my problem is i have reasentl got a new starter motor (inertia) the right one for my engine the problem is the starter will engage the flywheel but wont turn the engine over can anyone help

yer i have put the jumper pack on aswell the starter turns the engine but iver very slow or just a few centermeters and yer the engine turns over by hand fine just been rebuilt

hi i ve got a 1974 mini with a 1275 engine with 1 3/4 carb which i put in, think engine is a 1980 ish when you start up from cold no smoke run ok but when gets to running temp it starts to smoke only on over run switch engine off when warm then start no smoke , it pulls well no knocks engine run nice on ticket over you can rev up when stop no smoke  had all 4 bores check,  compression was 150 on each bore i am thinking it some thing to do we head has anybody got any ideal i am thinking of buying another head dont want to waste money

Hi all my mini has only bin road worthy for a week so tryin to learn how it goes but it seems like the final gear is a little off cause wen at 4 thou revs speedo readin 50-60 mph? Then telling a mate about it he said it could also be cam? If it is the final gear r they easy to change? Ne help appreciated

hi i have 1993 mini rio,i have not used the car for 6or 7 mounts left whit no fuel then i changed plug cables oil filter and oil and now it starts but onse i try to rev it or go for drive works for few minutes,and then starts cutting and engine vibrates,if i leave it work on low revs its ok,can somone tell me what shoud i do.

ok there is what i have done,clean the carb very well every single hole,filter to fuel is coming from the pump,i have changed the ignition bobin and steel same,it stars and work fine onece i pick up revs starts to cut out and even gos off.On top of all now i have seen that the brake presure valve is leaking when brake.i chect and it coast 90 pound so if someone have one for sale or know wher to find second hand.
