Prospective parents can be so selfish and never seem to think things through.

I am thrilled for Wenchy but Ninian? That's a football ground (Cardiff City ~ Mr Wenches' second home) or at least it was until they moved to a new ground a couple of years ago. It is also an area of Cardiff. The kid will hate it in later years and will never forgive them.

Ninian isn't the real name! Nor will it have a double barrel surname. It is dimly what it is called at the mo. As Snoopy points out it was Cardiff's old football ground.

Our "Bumps" all had names none of which were ultimately used.


BTW he/she will look a lot like an angry Winston Churchill. I tell you this because you will not see the resemblance and nobody will tell you so. Rest assured the likeness only lasts a short while.  ;D

I got into a lot of trouble for complaining, in jest, to the midwife that I was hoping for 6 collie puppies rather than the THW.

Woodstock also horrified the midwife by exclaiming "Fvck! That's ugly"

Apparently honesty is not a welcome thing in maternity wards.
