The LFC footie forum I frequent use summat called 'forums powered by UBB threads', and they are ded quick like.
Dunno how much they are,  but there's a lot of 'traffic' in there as you can imagine.
gets a bit slow at transfer deadline time like, but generally quite good.

I personally use  'Proboards' for my lickle forum, and it's FREE!!
Never had any trouble at all in 5 years either.

Only got 5 of us in there mind.

Well the server is in Boston - I thought it would give us some, um protection.... 

BUT...

Damaging winds in Southern New England through this evening.

Hurricane Sandy will track northward along the Eastern Seaboard. And is expected to turn west before making landfall in central New Jersey later today.

Damaging winds and power outages are anticipated across all of southern New England. The strongest winds will occur from late this morning into this evening, especially along the coast. High rise buildings along the coast including the cities of Boston and Providence will be most susceptible to wind damage.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 am EDT Tuesday.

It should be as fast as fuck at the moment!

Well the server is in Boston - I thought it would give us some, um protection.... 

You said that before, I had naturally assumed it was Boston Lincs, not Boston Mass. 

I expect the speed loss is because our subversive posts are all passing through Langley now.
