Information from NASA as follows.    Space station

"Tue Dec 11 5:55 PM [Cyprus time], Visible: 3 min, Max Height: 88 degrees, Appears: SW, Disappears: NE"

It appears as a fast moving bright orange(ish) coloured "star" that sweeps across the sky then fades away. If the skies are clear it is easily visible with the naked eye

Meanwhile, back on Mars:

It looks warmer than here.

Probably isn't though.

How far away are the hills? It looks a bit hazy.

Not sure, Those hills are within the crater that Curiosty landed in. In fact there is no sky visible, the far background is the rim of crater.
