Why does coffee never taste as good as it smells?
It does in my kitchen Freshly ground beans (usually Central American) in a cafetiere, mid to high roast and a good quantity per cup
Coffee out is usually disappointing except Café Nero which does a decent cappuccino, a bit like comfort food.
Tried all methods of grinding beans, different blends of beans and various preparation methods (cafetiere, filter, one of those French stove top jobbies) but nowt tastes the same as that cup I love to sup at the side of a canal in Amsterdam.
