Well my response on seeing the shop was 'Aw for fucks sake' so I suppose that counts.   rubschin:

Why does coffee never taste as good as it smells?

Costa Coffee shops, Starbucks, At home, the smell of fresh coffee arouses the old tastebuds but as soon as I taste it  sick2:

In Holland every cup I drink tastes as good as it smells but in the UK no chance. Whether it has been shat by a wild cat or not it just doesn't measure up.

On a related note: Tea can be variable according to where you make it. PG Tips works well in Wales but in Lincolnshire Yorkshire tea tastes better. Best cuppa for my money is the one you get in McDonalds but their coffee is always shite.

I actually said this this weekend.   Every cup here excellent.  Every cup at home - sludge.
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

It's down to the water in that area.

I run all our drinking water through a reverse-osmosis filter so it is in effect de-mineralised...  cloud9:

Tea is awesome - and no scale in the kettle (or manuals now  redface:)....

So you're saying that all your water has been personally passed by you?

The downside is that they are apparently about £9000 and the V12 version is a limited build of 500  sad24:
