Unfortunately, as any watch/clock maker will tell you, non digital display watches and clocks do not have "needles" they have HANDS!

This alone makes me think the writer of instructions at this link is an idiot.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Did them all except,
38. Bring up a butterfly (do they mean raise, or throw-up) ,
46. Try bouldering (Bouldering is a style of rock climbing undertaken without a rope and normally limited to very short climbs over a crash pad (called a bouldering mat) so that a fall will not result in serious injury. It is typically practiced on large natural boulders or artificial boulders in gyms and outdoor urban areas. However, it may also be practiced at the base of larger rock faces, or even on buildings or public architecture
48. Try abseiling
49. Find a geocache

As a kid I was a chronic asthmatic  so went to what was termed an "open air school", so lots of outdoor pursuits there, cubs also involved lots of outdoor activities, and lots of playing on the nearby fields and golf course

1. Climb a tree - Local golf course
2. Roll down a really big hill - playing fields at the back of grandad's house
3. Camp out in the wild -  at cub camp near Leigh
4. Build a den - local playing fields at the bottom of the disused railway line
5. Skim a stone - Switzerland
6. Run around in the rain - often, many places
7. Fly a kite - local playing fields
8. Catch a fish with a net - "Black Harry" bridge on the disused railway line
9. Eat an apple straight from a tree - after scrumping them from Mrs Smith's garden at No. 85
10. Play conkers - school playground
11. Throw some snow - Switzerland among other places
12. Hunt for treasure on the beach - Blackpool, Southport among other places
13. Make a mud pie - back garden
14. Dam a stream - local fields, did it often, use to love it when the normal 2 - 3" stream became 3' deep then we'd release it
15. Go sledging - Switzerland and local playing fields (on mum's tea tray)
16. Bury someone in the sand - Southport (there was never any sea  smile: )
17. Set up a snail race - mate's back garden
18. Balance on a fallen tree - local playing fields
19. Swing on a rope swing - local playing fields
20. Make a mud slide - local playing fields
21. Eat blackberries growing in the wild - local playing fields (and raspberries)
22. Take a look inside a tree - at cub camp near Leigh (also disturbed a hornet's nest  scared2: )
23. Visit an island - Isle of Man
24. Feel like you're flying in the wind - many places
25. Make a grass trumpet - at cub camp near Leigh
26. Hunt for fossils and bones - Aisdale, Southport  whistle: (never were any but I think mum and dad sent me there so they could "disappear" in the dunes)
27. Watch the sun wake up - at cub camp near Leigh
28. Climb a huge hill - Pennines
29. Get behind a waterfall - Switzerland
30. Feed a bird from your hand - grandad  cloud9: had finches
31. Hunt for bugs - here, there and everywhere
32. Find some frogspawn - "Black Harry" bridge on the disused railway line
33. Catch a butterfly in a net - local playing fields
34. Track wild animals - local playing fields (had a pair of those pathfinder boots that had animal footprints on the sole and a compass in the heel)
35. Discover what's in a pond - Local fishing pool behind the NCB offices
36. Call an owl - local golf course and playing fields
37. Check out the crazy creatures in a rock pool - Llandudno
38. Bring up a butterfly - didn't do
39. Catch a crab - Llandudno
40. Go on a nature walk at night - cub camp at Leigh
41. Plant it, grow it, eat it - me own little veg patch at home
42. Go wild swimming - somewhere in Wales out Bala way
43. Go rafting - somewhere in Wales out Bala way
44. Light a fire without matches - local playing fields
