Anyhoo as far as the goosedness goes have you tried having a word with the gym staff, they may be able to suggest an alternative routine for you

GM speaks sense, when I tore my back recently my doctor offered nothing medical-wise (I did write "bugger all" but thought better of it) but told me go to the gym and get them to give me some exercises. Something as simple as sitting on the Swiss gym ball and lifting one leg at a time gently got my mobility back, and they've now got me on four simple exercises which is working wonders. Go for it, you've nothing to lose, and plenty to gain  :thumbsup:
