Enjoy those moments Snoopy

I've been dog-less for a few months now, and yesterday I came close to thinking of getting another. I saw a Northern Inuit being walked, as close as you could get to a wolf I reckon, beautiful dog.  cloud9: But much as I loved all my previous dogs, I shall go without one for now.

Both boys have walked him round the kennel field .... he pulls a bit but they can cope with that and at 7 months it should be easy enough to train that out of him. He will sit on command and returns when let off the lead. It seems that when you call him back that he is not going to but he is ackchooly looking for something to bring back as a present .... Stick, ball ... whatever he can find. Tends to jump up at first but a firm "NO!" and he sits down.
Training should not be a problem as he seems a very biddable pooch, eager to please but very unhappy about being kennelled. Previous owners got him last Christmas but were both at work all day so he got a bit destructive in their absence ~ hardly surprising for a puppy. I am at home every day so he will be good company for me and hopefully will enjoy having someone with him all the time. They tell us that he doesn't get car sick and seems to enjoy going out in the car.
Not yet neutered but the kennels are making arrangements for that to be done in about three weeks time. Micro chipped of course and we have passed the "Home Inspection".
I tell you, taking on a rescued dog is no longer an easy or cheap option but a KC registered pure bred for £125 seems a bargain. The £125 includes the neutering, 2 days supply of food, collar, de-fleaing, full vet check and the blanket he is used to.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Prolly ~ once he masters the keyboard.  ::)

Meanwhile Woodstock has been "shopping":
Several hundredweight of dog food, new basket, grooming brushes, dog biscuits, Bonios, Stainless steel bowls for water and food, new leather lead, new leather collar and tag engraved with our phone number and dog's name, a ball, a doggy poncho in case he is wet when she puts him in the car and, for when he is in her car, a doggy fvcking seat belt (she doesn't have a dog grill) ...... This dog is going to live better than me.  ::)

The THW is at her boyfriend's house until Saturday so the boys are planning a "surprise" for her return  eveilgrin:

Sounds like a lovely addition to the family Snoops.  I always wanted a dog but was brought up by parents who liked to travel so not practical.  I was happy to care for someone else's lab who was a perfect gentleman.  I used to give him a bath outside with several buckets of warm water, a jug and shampoo.  He had eczema and you could see the relief on his face afterwards.   angel1

Like when you stopped washing him, like?

Boy dogs don't like that poofy French soap. Not a poodle, you know  ::)

I'm NOT happy....nowt new there then I hear some exclaim ::)

Further to my Optician appointment last saturday, the quackters receptionist has just rung stating that the old battleaxe has read the letter that the Optician sent her, but cannot sanction refer or authorise a specialist appointment to the hossy. eeek:

Howvere, she did ask the receptionist to state that if I would like to make yet ANOTHER appointment to see her, then I would be most welcome to do so, or even a telephone consultation with her if I prefer.

I told her in my grumpiest tone, to relay the message that I do NOT want to waste my time any further seeing her again, and to also pass on my thanks for her caring concerned attitude.

What now? Where now? Shrugs:

Change your doctor. You have every right to ask for a second opinion.

That's what Mrs G said.

I'm going to have to as this recurring problem, now x 4 in 6 weeks, is not normal.

Anyone would thonk it was costing her practice money to send me ffs! Banghead
Said that to the receptionist, and judging by her tone of voice, I detected a hint of agreement.

Felt a bit sorry for her having to listen to my rantings. redface:

My arguement entirely.
The owld  witch of a G, yes G for GENERAL, not specialist, P obviously doesn't see it that way.

As for private, I did think of that ££££££££££££££££  eeek:, but what's the use of £££££££££££'s if I can't see proper to do me job and blimp at Kylies arse like.
Not many pleasures on life, but her most gorgeous of peaches does make me feel SSSSSSSSSSO happy. cloud9:
