Wedding Photography
« on: August 28, 2012, 11:52:42 AM »

I bleedy love these pictures for the absolute pee taking potential . My ex SIL has just posted squillions of these pictures from her special day , set on a remote Greek Island , with a banner waving plane going ovehead etc etc etc. I love the fact that most of these pictures are meant to be 'artisitic' ....big close up of feet entwined in the sand , wedding fingers with newly purchased H Samuel rings trying not to lose their colour in the sea etc.

Then you pan to the crowd . Group of elderly relatives sweltering in the heat. Sweat dripping of em. Scowling kids who just want to spalsh about in the sea. Baby in pram squealing away ....might be a tad uncomfortable for the wee might .

My 18 year old nightmare niece in the background who apparently is suffering from severe depression and bi polar , and attention lacking syndrome etc ...ecstatic at the prospect of watching her mum snog away and these moments being captured for eternity and broadcast to the world. Not resenting at all the fact that she can't wear jeans and a black T shirt and has had to leave the panda eyeliner alone for a day.

One scene has them jointly pouring sand into a heart shaped bottle  noooo: Presumably to keep forever and forever or forever or until the egg has boiled  rubschin: . Think of the excess weight in the baggage for the flight home  noooo:

Oh and obviously the photographer was hired as part of the package and is absolutely shit  happy001. Even I could do better  noooo:

Glad to see you have put all bitterness behind you and can simply rejoice in the simple joy of the simple people.

I expect her next few weddings will be just as joyful.

Oh don't get me wrong I am more than happy for her ....it's just the whole cringiness of the wedding photo's - especially ones taken abroad , where in reality you won't have a scooby as to the quality of the photographer etc.

I of course can look at my own and do exactly the same. Mine were on a beach in the Caribbean and are corny to the extreme... redface:

Don't give up, you have several months before your 'old maid' status is confirmed.

You can then apply for promotion to 'cheetah'.  whistle:

Marriage to Mrs S#1 = No Photographs taken
Marriage to Mrs S#2 = "Snaps" only ~ taken by those family members who wanted to.
