Penmaenmawr quarry

Dog walking

4 members attended  A local man went out on his usual walk around the north west side of the quarries when at some point he suddenly realised that one of his dogs had gone missing. He presumed that she could have only gone over the edge of cliffs close by. The Team were called to retrieve the dog who had sadly died in the fall.

Read tragic incidents about peoples sometimes, but very rarely about animuls. sad24:

Correct, in the main, unless it's kids of course.

Humans are mainly just thick if they get themselves into trouble in the wilds, and usually only have themselves to blame, but animuls..........

Sick of reading about toss pot nonces becoming 'crag fast' in their slippers and flip flops up Tryfan. evil:

We can all have accidents/falls etc, but really, some of the stuff on incidents I read in there are truly mind boggling.

This guy with the dog for instance. I don't know the circumstances obviously, but surely if you're near a steep cliff edge you'd keep your dog close to you or on a lead, not let it go scampering off willy nilly.

If it has a habit of running off and disobeying its master, then it SHOULDN'T be allowed up there until its at least jhad some straightforward training.

RIP Wulfie sad24:

Tryfan for instance, is one of the most notorious mountains in N.Wales for grief and trouble.
It's not a particulary difficult climb, but if you take the wrong route you can become well and truly stuffed, as many many have found out to their cost, sometimes fataly.
It'll bite you on the arse and chuck you overboard, no problem. evil:

I haven't been up there yet, and won't until I can find someone who knows it thouroughly enough to accompany me.

Crib Goch route up Snowdon is another one for virtually guaranteed death to the foolhardy.
Another one on me bucket list...with an experienced colleague only though.

I actually saw a gerly twirly werly walking up Snowdon on a thouroughly wet windyish and grizzly New Years Day a few years ago, wearing a pair of pumps ffs! eeek:  Banghead
