He is not pissing you about. I use it frequently. Some info is free (click on it and see) other stuff you have to pay for but you have no secrets from the internet, whether you use it or not .... Everything can be found.

Since I am registered as a user I could also gain access to your credit record if I so wished ~ which I don't ~ but I do use it for business purposes.

IF you have the knowledge on how to do it presumably.

Yes you do need a name to start the enquiry and to pay a subscription to 192.com for the full service and registration with someone like "Experian" to use a credit reference company if you want a credit history. Registration costs £££s and you have to jump through a number of legal hoops to gain registration as well as satisfying them as to why you would be using their services.

BTW I can also CRB check people if I need to but again only for legitimate business purposes (i.e. if someone is paying me to find details for a legitimate reason)
Neither is something I would piss about with as I could forfeit my licence if I was caught so no I don't do "casual" enquiries.

Obviously you need a name and ideally an approximate location or date of birth to get started but it takes only a few minutes to gain all sorts of info if you are a registered user.

PS You don't need to be an IT Buff to find people but a knowledge of the systems helps.

Actually most people could find your name and address from your car registration plate.  whistle:
