No one is suggesting that you soft ol fur ball.

It is understandable you want to protect your little cub . The difficulty is she wants to be an adult and live her own life but then keeps involving you in all her decision making, when in her head the decision has already been made. Not suggesting she shouldn't discuss some of her issues with you but she needs to take responsibility.

You are therefore left worrying, foreseeing all the problems she can't , and just wanting to grab her by the scruff of her neck and bring her back to the cave.

 happy100

The Bank of Dad will always help her out of her 'screw ups' once again, unfortunately they seem to get bigger and more expensive with age. Let her make her own decisions as long as she can afford them herself......bollocks to being left out of smugness with her new found friends (they can't be very good friends if they put her in this situation) she is prolly best finding a new bunch. Tell her to tough it out, she will be a better person for it.  Thumbs:

+1 Actually said very similar to that to her this av.
I can do no more....other than wait for her to walk through the bank of dad main door, and THAT amongst other things, is what I don't want to see, as the vaults are nearing dangerously low limits.

aghhhhhh! why are you not my Dad?! I went to uni half hour drive from home and had to pay my own rent . i worked and studied and worked to pay my way because I could have stayed at home cheaper. No student wants to live at home but they all need to appreciate where the money comes from. She may fall out with the other four in a month anyway! Give her the choice......pay for yourself to live in the castle or consider dad's option and get a cut when I sell it  ;)

Good man.

Lickle girls grow up very quickly and become very manipulative with Daddy. I don't want to say let her suffer.....but learn the hard way like the rest of us had to.

Gerra ferking job and pay for your own mistakes....the more mistakes you make the more you have to put the time in at werk.

If only we were all born as BMs' kids then we would not have to wurry.  razz:

I would never dream of going to the Bank of Dad for anything. I could have and have needed to, but I was taught responsibility and a sense of economic worth (ie you work....you can buy pretty things). My Dad would give me everything if I asked but I would rather he was proud of my values and pride at working for it.
I hated him at the time, but now, it was one of the best lessons he taught me.

MM just emailed me and has shown all the adverse comments regarding the letting agency to her bessy mate there.
Not impressed by all accounts and is carrying on regardless.

It's friggin' ok for her though, as she's an ex head girl of a private schooohell with minted parents who are probably paying the rent for this rip off shit 'ole. Banghead

I'm feeling so bloody weary, shambolic, confuslicated and totally thouroughly utterly goosed with the whole subject. sad32:
Feel like running away even now, but i jknow I can't, 'cus the problems will still be there in me 'ed.

Meanwhile, WHERE TF is the one who should be helping me with all this shite, ey, WHERE? Shrugs:

Who TF knows....or even cares now tbqh. Banghead

Sorry if I've bored the arses off some of you's all today, but I've had absolutely no one else to ramble on and rant at. redface:

Growler much as it pains you, stand back. You have supported her, you have offered alternative solutions, you have even bloody considered buying a flat there for her to ensure she is safe and not ripped off.

You couldn't possibly have done more.

She is so lucky in that respect!

Dearest Growler your daughter is not going to drop into an abyss, she is signing up to rent a property that is nearly a year away.

Things can change radically in that time. Even if she chooses not to move into this place with these so called friends there will be another willing to take her place.

Let her get on with it and make the same mistakes we have all done.....as long as she learns from it the hard way. It is a lesson in life she needs to fall down upon. Tough but true.
