Anna  cloud9:

Met her on one of OH's November 5th "walks" - the first one, if memory serves.  Lovely lady.

When you met me!  ;D

And you got pissed, had to go for a wee-wee and never came back...  ::)

 ::)

 point:

Tell the boys and girls the truth BM - YOU had orders to go home (it was about 8pm) and I accompanied you to ensure you got there safely. I would have happily stayed for a few more light ales, but took pity on your ageing and brow-beaten husk of a being  point:

1. At the time, he no doubt got a generous Christmas gift for his 'help'
2. He would have feared (probably rightly) that he would be in trouble/lose his job if he spoke out against 'the great benefactor'.

The years have shown me that people have very different standards about things at different points in their lives.

Those who have spent their lives turning a blind eye to things and placing more value on the shilling they fiddle than the pound that they earn, then get all righteous over swindling MPs.

Add the current fashion for 'five minutes of fame' and this is where we end up.  noooo:
I mostly despair
