Anyway, all this cofuffle got me thinking. rubschin:

TMOM was hollering about 'what if', meaning, what if it's the 'phone that's goosed, and NOT the battery?
All her stored data is in the 'phones memory apparently, NOT the SIM card as i thought.

So, how do you back up 'phone stored data, like piccies and diary/numbers/addys etc, 'cus if the 'phone IS bolloxed. presumably you've lost the lot? Shrugs:

I thought SIM cards held most of the memory tbh, but I bow to TMOM's superior knowledge and obvious intelligence...intelligence meaning she found me attractive once upon a time, and married me. whistle:

Has it got a seperate memory card like ............ rubschin:

Dunno, but don't think so, no. Shrugs:

Just a SIM card

Newer ones come with a lead to hook up to laptop/pc so you can transfer data...............never done it tho ...........I shite at that sort of stuff ,,,,,,,,,,,

Just been talking to me next door neighbour...he's a bit like Nick, but he actually DOES know stuff.

He reckons there will be some application on it to load essential info apart from piccies straight onto the SIM card.

He prolly just said that to get rid of you

The SIM has a limited memory capability....

So If you have a contact like "Nick, the Ginger tosspot wot knows nuffink" it will be stored on the SIM ans Nick th" or somesuch...

It will still have the number but you'll lose the descriptive contact details if you just transfer the SIM as they are stored in the phone memory...

You'll need to connect the phone to your PC, transfer the phone book and then upload to the new phone if you want to keep all the details...

Meanwhile, The  Mrs Owld Moose has texted me on her borrowed blower, to tell me she can't get the back off her 'phone to put the SIM card back in. Banghead
I went to all the trouble of hunting down a new battery for her, came home, charged it up and delivered it to her, and she's no better off.
Total waste of time effort and money. Angry9:

What an absolute cockess of EPIC proportions. cussing:
I mean, just how difficult is it to remove the back off a mobby ey? Shrugs:
Give me piggin' strength. Banghead

Sorted The Mrs Owld Moose's telephone anyway. 3 minutes in total. ::)

As much as wimmins uselessnuss to complete lickle tasks gets right upon my breasts, I have to admit that the back, batteries and SIM cards removal can actually be quite a challenge on some mobby blowers.
That was actually one of them. Banghead

Attacked it wiv a knife eveilgrin:

Sorted!
