Cataracts

It's been a year now since I had these Varifocals, clever things that they are, but one thing I've noticed is that in dim lighting they help not one jot. I've been blaming it on the specs ...  cry:   redface:

It seems that it's the beginnings of cataracts. Apparently you can get them fixed ... but when?  Catch them early or leave it 'til everything's a blur?  rubschin:

Mrs DS #3 had them done. Not a pleasant procedure but an amazing improvement.
The consultant seemed to think it was not time-critical, just whenever it got too bad.

Thanks gents, I was hoping you both might shed some light on the issue (intended  ;) )

Yep, it's a bugger when the bits start failing to perform as per the original specification. 'Spose I should stop looking at things but in my line of work that's a bit of a sine qua non.

Oh, and they say dark glasses might help  8)

If you go private you can expect to hand over between £3600 - £6000 to have both eyes fixed   Shocked:
