rubschin: And not one single actress yet .... That tells us something.
Perhaps there are very few actresses who actually do more than provide the "Love Interest". Eye candy a-plenty but other than Maggie Smith I am hard put to think of any actress who didn't build a career out of looks but simply "acted" herself throughout her time on TV or in movies and then faded from view as she aged.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Well Meryl Streep does a pretty good job

As does Susan Sarandon !

Jennifer Anniston on the other hand - you could almost predict her lines in her films  noooo:

Joanna Lumley's acting has improved with age.

As for Ms Streep ~ I can never understand a word she says ..... "mumble, mumble, mumble" ... Which I suppose saves her having to learn her lines.

I can't remember how we got talking about it but someone on Friday suggested that Ray Winstone was a good actor.

Now I have seen a few of his films but to me he always plays the same role in some guise or the other ...even in The Sweeney when he was supposed to be the good guy for once he wasn't.

These roles also don't seem too departed from his own persona when he does interviews etc.

So to me he gets paid for being himself ....not a great stretch of acting talent required  rubschin:

The Sweeney...  cloud9:

Surely you're too young to remember that  angel1

I have the Sweeney theme tune for my ringtone...

How about Judi Dench, Brenda Blethyn, Imelda Staunton, Helen Miren, Maggie Smith, and rising fast Sheridan Smith

Too much time under a sun bed from the looks of it.  rubschin:
