You've had it a month now, so lets's be hearing a progress and road test report to compare it to the jerrrnulists opinions, yes?

Anyway:

Generally very pleased with the motor. It's well built, plenty of room inside but feels like a much smaller car. Driving position is comfortable and the dash and dials are well laid out (see pic). The sliding rear doors and lack of door pillars is a good idea, would have been real handy when the sprogs were tiny. Though it does mean all the doors are very heavy. Engine is tiny! (see pic) 3 cylinders and only 998cc ~ Maybe a bit underpowered but OK for the sort of motoring I do. I'm of to Oxford tomorrow so it'll a be a chance to see how it does on the motorway.

About the only thing that annoys me is that the rear gets very dirty, very quickly. Must be something to do with the airflow.

G Jnr is just going now to pick his similar engined 3 pot 1.0 ecoboost Festa up.
He's all excited and looking forward to monster fuel economy too.

Seems it's THE colour to have now according to statistics, whicm I think (cynically of course) may be the reason for the price hike.

He's very old thinking  for a 20yr old!

Young G Jnr is well happy and very proud of his new car, and it really does look lovely both inside and out. Suits white too.

His mother kicked off at him for buying it, but I jumped straight in to his defence and told her to shut her beak, as he deserves it.

He doesn't drink, smoke, pub or club it, he worls exceptionally hard for long hours sometimes too,getting in in the early hours, cleans after himself AND US around the house and garden, washes and polishes the fleet and is generally someone to be extremelly proud of...which I most certainly am.

He told me last night that the 'puter said that he got over 70mpg driving it home btw!
