ATTN: Barman,

Support Ticket #1285 has been updated

Description:
Hello Barman,

We have made changes to the backup configuration on your node which should alleviate the degraded performance when the process was executing. Will you please let us know if you or any of your users report any performance issues over the next few days. Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

All the best,
Colin

I don't know any IT Techy who knows that many words, let alone can put them in an order that they make sense.  Shocked:

You are supposed to qualify that with "Except Tel of course".  whistle:
I mostly despair

FWIW, here, this mornering, it's like the proverbial curate's egg

Speedy quick, then a loooooooooooooong pause, then speedy slow, then back to speedy quick.   rubschin:

Mostly loooooooooooong pauses seem to be associated with making a post
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Same slow slow quick quick slow performance here.  Colin must be planning to go on Strictly

No Apache server errors seen

seconded, Tel writes sense too (probably the two of them just copy each others work)

Well, whatever, nevermind

A thunk

At the bottom of each page just above Colin's ad for Gray Web Host there is a short message telling you how long it took to create the page

eg

Quote
Page created in 0.711 seconds with 12 queries

Suggest we post up any that are rather long along with time of day, what page etc

ATTN: Barman,

Support Ticket #1285 has been updated

Description:
Yeah, I am seeing the load time on my end here too. I am lowering the
process priority more again. Let me know tomorrow evening how the speed
is. It is a game of keeping the I/O priority high enough to execute the
process ontime, but low enough so it doesn't affect the PHP process.

Regards,
Colin

Okay chaps?

Working fine here today, yesterday was a bit slow but that might have been because they were tinkering with it like.
