Owld tins of paint ''n' 'stuff'.
« on: December 26, 2012, 02:29:41 PM »
Why do we keep them ey? confused:
You/we know we'll problee NEVER need or use them again but because there's still stuff in the cans, we keep'em.
Why, knowing full well that they'll eventually end up being launched? Shrugs:

Same goes for other general crap bibs and bobs. Banghead

It'd take ,what, 10 seconds to bin this crap at the time, but no, we store it thinking it might come in handy one day...the day that never actually arrives. Banghead
i mean, did i REALLY have to keep a roll of insulating tape with just 3" of tape left on it? noooo:
Did i REALLY have to keep 200 telephone cable wall fasteneing clips? noooo:
Assorted dirty cable ties? Half used sandpaper? Dirty rags? Assorted rusty screw, nuts and bolts, scattered in every conceivable corner? 4 plain spray can tops? A broken remote control car with no hand control? Cassette tapes, never to be listened to again?
A full unopened box of industrial staples? confused:

 noooo:

My bin is now overflowing

You are all wrong he is in fact Mr C. eeek:

He is sorting through his study cupboards and has just informed me that the first one is now done.  I cannot see the floor on his side of the room and his side of the desk is covered in cables and other electrical 'stuff' not much of it will be binned it will just be relocated. noooo:

However if truth be told I do keep lengths of wood that will one day 'come in handy'.  redface: Oh and packing material and boxes (flat packed) because every so often we have an ebay session. Then there are the glass jars.........

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I bought Mrs DS a new car with the proceeds of selling three old tractors my father had "kept for spares" from the late 1940's.

There are some real mugs out there who will spend a fortune and 1000's of hours restoring old vehicles.  whistle:

The value of 20 year old tins of Dulux remains unknown to me of course
