Goosed Kodak printer?
« on: January 18, 2013, 02:14:44 PM »
Comes on without me asking it to when I fire this puter heap of crap up.
Press all the buttons and nowt happens. and then the instruction screen lights up and is totally blank.

Only way of turning it off is by unplugging the heap of shite.
18 months old and it's seemingly goosed.

This will be the 4th one that's gubbed itself it seems, the other 3 being those Epsom crochs of utter crap. Banghead
Bought this one only 'cus I'd been led to believe they were good.  noooo: evil:

I have a Dell connected to the PC which fires up when the PC is switched on and off when the PC is shut down.
I also have a Brother which is wireless so that all of us can use it. That is on all the time but puts itself to sleep when nobody is on-line. Press print on any laptop in the house and it wakes up and does its stuff.
Most printers connected by wire will come to life when the PC is switched on. They normally have an on/off button if you want to control it yourself but I find it easier to leave them to play as they want to.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Nah. It's totally goosed. Shrugs:
Unplugged it, plugged it back in again, pressed every button and finally resorted to my usual 'quick fix of TWATTING it, but to no avail. evil:

Tried everything to get the menu up on the screen, but it's blank...lit up, but blank.
Just bought a new set of inks for it too! cussing:

Going to have to go and buy yet another one now., kerrrching. Banghead
