I was very purturbed about it, but he told me not to blame meself for not spotting it, as without full access to underneath, it would have been very diificult to discover.
Couldn't believe it when he started scratching away, and filler dust started falling! eeek: eeek:

Would have only taken a vicious speed hump or summat similar for the crack to run and complete, and the tie rod could have fallen off with possible devastating results.
He reckons (being an mot station himself) that this SHOULD have been spotted without a shadow of a doubt.

Dial a MOT............ noooo:

Not being particulary racist here, but the mot was carried out in the Middle East of Inguland when all said and done. whistle:

Absolutely crazy, as my mate reckons it would only take 20 minutes to weld it up, and not cost very much either, as access is easy.
Why bother bodging when fixing is probaly just as easy?  confused:

Bone idleness springs to mind. Banghead

it is indeed DS, and all far to common unfortunately according to my mot matey.

I say matey, but he actually takes his mot'ing VERY seriously. No favours for mates, at all, EVER, which of course is exactly how it should be when it comes to safety issues.

He was absolutely gobsmacked that someone could perform such an evil and potentially lethal stunt.,...as was i of course, especially as I drove it back up the very busy M6 just last saturday too, with my MM on board. eeek: eeek:

Meanwhile, normal service has resumed back here again now.................

Has Mrs G said "I told you so" yet or is she content with a satisfied smirk for now?
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

No actually, not at all.
She's as disgusted as me, BUT this isn't something that can't be fixed easily and cheaply.
As I said, 20 minutes on the welder, and it'll be sorted.
The bodge with filler was just so unessssessary and downright disgustingly dangerous. evil:

VOSA will be being contacted in the morning.

It's 52 years old, so perfection is/was really not ever going to be on the options list.

Sadly methinks VOSA will just file any complaint in the circular pending file.
Well, whatever, nevermind
