Is anyone in here on this Virgin media cable thing then?

Apparently, they've got to dig a trench in the garden for the fibre optics. eeek:

Barman. I've had a very tough 9 hours on the Ramp. My back aches and my head is still bleeding from where I clumped it on the fire detection grill of a DHC Dash 8 (Q400). I really couldn't be arsed to fiddle about and thus just posted the link the site provided. Please forgive me.

You're on Vergin I see.

How you rate them? rubschin:

Virgin here Big G.

See image for speed I get. Have you opted for the TiVo box? It's cracking!

My Results

I started out on 10Mbps and they've upgraded me (for free) twice - each time by 10 Monster bits per second.

Tivio box, yes, plus  inclusive calls all week except to non Virgin mobbies

Normal cost after 12 months for the package I've signed up to is horrendous though. eeek:
Includes Sky movies which I'm not really that arsed about tbh, but it does include ESPN too for footie. cloud9:
Extra channels for HD too, but I haven't got an HD telly. Shrugs:

I can delete stuff next March to keep the costs down anyways

Get yerself an HD telly man - especially if you're into footy! (Never seen the point myself - 22 grown men chasing a leather bag full of wind round a patch of grass?)

Getting nagged by the Growlers Jnr. united to do just that. evil:

Nowt wrong with the existing one though. Banghead

This is the problem with the faddy 'must have, must have NOW' society of today though.
Far too much 'easy come, easy go' for my liking. ::)

Is this HD that you speak of really going to be that much of a life changing experience I ask myself?

Probably not, in fact it's probably just a load of owld cobblers, in'it? ::)

FWIW, I think it is worth the price to 'upgrade' - however, that's a decision only you can make.

I do draw the line at 3D though - I'd rather wait for 'holographic' TV.

Check it out for sports with a mate who's got one and you'll see what I mean.

Sky charge extra tenner for HD access, Virgin may be similar

It is worth it.  I was agin it but Mrs K insisted for her programmes but once you've seen footie etc on it you won't want to go back

Don't do what me bruvva did though.  Buy HD TV, pay Sky for HD and then use a SCART to connect the two  ::)   Amazon do cheap HDMI leads, work a treat

Well, whatever, nevermind
