Sky charge extra tenner for HD access, Virgin may be similar

It is worth it.  I was agin it but Mrs K insisted for her programmes but once you've seen footie etc on it you won't want to go back

Don't do what me bruvva did though.  Buy HD TV, pay Sky for HD and then use a SCART to connect the two  ::)   Amazon do cheap HDMI leads, work a treat

Top Tip.   Thumbs:
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Barman. I've had a very tough 9 hours on the Ramp. My back aches and my head is still bleeding from where I clumped it on the fire detection grill of a DHC Dash 8 (Q400). I really couldn't be arsed to fiddle about and thus just posted the link the site provided. Please forgive me.

Oh man up and admit you clicked the wrong button.... ::)

See image for speed I get. Have you opted for the TiVo box? It's cracking!

I started out on 10Mbps and they've upgraded me (for free) twice - each time by 10 Monster bits per second.

Just 2 weeks to go! Party001:

Had me first taste of the Discovery channel while I was away.

Mike Brewer rebuilding the 'woody' was most interesting, as were several other shows, albeit most are from yankland. ::)

You will love it Growler but I think you'll find Discovery Channel is great for a few days and then you bore of it.  They have loads and loads of badly narrated repeats

Showing right now on Discovery's multi channels via Sky

Mythbusters (what Snopes does better?  This escipode is about can you run and jum from rope bridges, and can hail storms sink boats - who cares?)

Pagans (all airy fair magical crap - no smut)

Desert car kings (all about restoring a 1964 Plymouth Barracida - I don't care, we have the Mini thread and that's about a car type I have driven, repaire and cursed)

Weird Connections (about Human Sniffer dogs - iteresting for 5 minures)

Well, whatever, nevermind

Alaska features quite often too wiv Bears and things. cloud9:

Some geezer living on a desert island for 2 months on his own looked pretty grim too

I don't have access any more...

I used to like Mythbusters and Aircrash Investigations...

But as you say, many repeats and I found the frequent adverts and 'goldfish' style reminders of what had happened five minutes earlier most annoying...

I eventually dumped my mahoosive dish, cancelled the Sky subscription and don't miss it a bit...

Anything I want to watch I can download - always with the adverts conveniently edited out....

So are you saying we will see you less and less because you find watching a repeat of some twat living on a desert island (by choice FFS) better than the wittery repartee (at your expense sometimes) here

We will be bereft just like wot we were last week  cry:

If they ever show the Fairey Rotadyne escipode that was good (but probably only if you're of a certain age)
Well, whatever, nevermind

Growler it seems Virgin also show Liverpool FC TV

I have never watched it but I have seen MUTV on their various free sampling weekends and that was utter shite so I expect FCTV will be same.  The fare consists of old has been sitting around with some carefully placed B class totty du jour discussing matches they are not allowed to show.

Even the manager's press conference uncut was so dull I nearly nicked Mrs K's knitting for some excitement

Well, whatever, nevermind
