Got an I.T. geek due any minute now, to give this heap of junk its annual check up. cloud9:

He'll be removing every last trace of aoHELL whilst he's here. eveilgrin:
Goodbye, and good riddance. cloud9:

I'm fully expecting this thing to be even quicker than it already is now once all this gungy shite is finally removed once and for all. cloud9:

Slightly disappointed tbh.

Well yes, good point well made, but after all the grief you used to give me about aoHELL, and how it slowed everything down, I was just expecting something different.

A problem has arisen now anyway. ::)
I've bookmarked this place for quick access, but when I click on it....and a couple of other forums I frequent, it just simply refreshes the Virgin Media page. confused:

Done...on your recommendation. rubschin:

Must say, the aoHELL homepage is actually quite good compared to Firefox and this.
These are both so dowdy.

Did he clean up the fibre as well to let more light through?

If not, just unscrew the end and tip in a few drops of Windolene.

Tell you what I'm missing about aoHELL, (not much granted) and that's the homepage wot had the facility to list your favourites and a really good clear and concise section across the top with the tool bar that you could place your most favourestest favourite sites with a symbol of your choice  to click on for instant access.

Firefox just seems to have a drop down 'bookmark' thing that's not as clear and easy to use.

The Virgin welcome page is shite too and don't even bother using it now.

Just an observation

Google do a iGoogle page that you set as your home page and lets you customise with all you favourite bookmarks and stuff on it but BAD NEWS is they say this will be discontinued soon.

However Yahoo do a My Yahoo page that they said they were discontinuing but then seem to have changed their mnd.

Worth looking at

I know everybody crititises aoHELL, and rightly so in many respects, but their home/welcome page for members is actually very good and informative with bags of facilties links and info.
I was in the misguided belief that competitors sites were probably all very similar, but no, not the case at all. eeek:

Virgin's is extremely poor. which did actually suprise me tbh.

I presume all these other IP's are assuming their customers will be using Firefox and the like, and therfore don't make an effort, whereas aoHELL do actually make their site attractive enough to use for internet useage, which is exactly what I did in the main for 10 years.
