Then he said, "I might be able to patch it up, like"

   But if he spent that on a rug (In fact it was 2 rugs @ £2k each as I recall) then obviously he doesn't still have the money and given events at Nick Towers that resulted in his removal to Nottingham he doesn't have the rugs either.  Think about it.
