At our previous residence there was a "Fly" dog track close by. "Known as a "Fly" Track as it was outside of the normal Greyhound racing circuit.
Anywhoo they used to hold Greyhound and Whippet racing evenings there and on one occasion they tried Afghan Hound racing. Now that was a joy to watch as Afghans can run as fast but much further than Greyhounds. The problem is that the Afghan cannot be trained to race and they would stop for a p*ss halfway through a race, some would be crafty and lie in wait for the hare to come round from behind them and in one race one tried to mount another.
Hilarious and very boozy evening.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
