Bloody awful I imagine, not to mention impossible.

I ask merely because I am having a lot of trouble accessing the site this week. And yes, I use BOTH url's and have problems from both the PC's I use.

Do I have to send them a tenner to get fast access?

Are "BOTHurls" faster than "VIC20s" then?

I am not up to date with all these fancy boxes. redface:

Had you tried stopping the pornography download to see if it is any quicker?

[serious]It seems just as quick as usual here. Perhaps the problem is 'your end'?[/serious]

I suspect you need to PM the man behind the bar who is the one who knows. It's his set-up.
I have no idea about the server.
Do you think it pos your problems have anything to do with the school holidays. All those lovely little children gaming away 'cos it's too wet to go out and play?
I know I have difficulties of the sort you describe every evening twixt 5.30 and 8pm as do others in my area. We figure it is everyone coming home from school/work and logging on until there is something on the telly.

Porn downloads aside I have the same problems at work and home at various times of the day.

But at moment it seems fine again. All very odd.

No matter, I will have to look at porn sites while I wait for the pub pages to load.  eyes:

It gets worse in the rush hour because all extra traffic squashes the cables and just like stepping on a hose-pipe, slows the data flow down.

Does the gas pressure have anything to do with it?

I have tried shouting and gesticulating rudely at my modem but that doesn't seem to help either.

Perhaps I should spray it with WD40 that'll make it shift!

We have had some issues with the SQL server but we?ve changed to another server both for the site hosting and the database ? from where I am (wanky ADSL connection aside) it looks fine.

We still have a few settings which are set wrong ? that?s why you have to load a new avatar at both addresses when you change it?

Other than that seems okay to me.

I will be doing some maintenance at the weekend (when it is quieter) and will sort out the dual URL malarkey?

Arrrrggggghhhh!
Don't make me change my log in. It's all set up to work super fast on the original and I don't have to look at the dodgy alternative avatars some people have posted. cussing:
