I'm beginning to wonder if anyone is going to appear. Nobody here but me (and 3 guestst lurking)

redface: I think one of those might have been me. Managed to log myself off, and no, that's not a euphemism.

Why is it that people want things urgently on a Friday afternoon ?  confused:  In the full knowledge that nothing will happen until Monday morning  evil:

Luxury tents for Glastonbury fans. Camp Kerala is being set up on a neighbouring farm.
Wealthy music fans are paying up to ?6,000 to stay in luxury accommodation at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Camp Kerala, on a neighbouring farm, will offer Maharaja-style tents, VIP festival tickets, hot showers, serviced toilets and cooked breakfasts.

Camp Kerala owner Jenny Lederman said: "It's for people who love Glastonbury and want to do it in luxury."

Another neighbour, Windinglake Farm, is offering log cabins, motor homes, jousting tents and a cocktail bar.

noooo: Wimps the lot of you. This is not a tent it is a canvas palace.  ::)

When I was young, we had basic pup (don't get overexcited Snoopy, you will leave a puddle.) tents. Mind you this was before music festivals as such, unless you include Woodstock  redface:, more bike rallys and race weekends, working in the pit lane at Santa Pod and Wet t-shirts (well it was by the time DTL had flung a bucket of very cold water in our direction.  redface:  redface:  redface: ),where it was either the tent, or the back of a Commer van, if you were very posh. You yongsters don't know you are born. It was hard, but, strangly enough, fun at the same time.  whistle:

Welcome back Wenchy  ;) , sorry my virtual gifts of grapes and flowers have vanished into the mist, either that or Barman ate one and gave the other to the Landlady.

There we were last night, sitting at the lovely new table (S African hardwood) admiring Ruperts handiwork - attaching table legs to paving with very fetching brass brackets and screws.
It was trying to rain - did we care? No we are Youngs drinkers!

Mind you I am getting seriously at the number of funeral do's they are having there.

Rain. I'm sure I've heard of it, somewhere in the dim and distant past.

And the bastard BlackBerry is playing up - sand damage, I think...

South African hardwood? Where on earth do you get that in Surrey? I've heard of South Croydon tough nuts, but this is a new one on me...

And why is the mullet doing tables, when he was meant to be doing my garden in my absence!

Planning application for jumbrellas got turned down - not suitable for a conservation area!
Tables and chairs appeared next day.

Conservative area, surely, not conservation...

Wenchy, I'm surprised at you. I though a "robust" lass like yourself would shrug a bit of camping off, no trouble. Is it true that you represented Cheam in the "fridge lifting" championships?

Here
http://www.savannawood.co.za/reclaimed-solid-wood-tables/index.php

Which do you have?  The above are reclaimed and they do look nice.

The original temperate forest that met the first European settlers to South Africa was exploited ruthlessly until only small patches remained. Currently, South African hardwood trees like Real Yellowwood (Podocarpus latifolius), stinkwood (Ocotea bullata), and South African Black Ironwood (Olea laurifolia) are under government protection.
or even here.
