New cunning cold call tactics
« on: April 05, 2013, 09:33:16 AM »
Bastards are increasingly using recoreded messages now, both on landline and mobby's, presumably so we can't hurl joyful abuse at the call operators now. SCUM! cussing:
3 in the last 24 hours. Banghead

I need a new offensive plan to deal with these parasites. rubschin:

Now THAT would annoy me too.

Fortunately I don't get many cold calls ..... no idea why I am spared other than the word has perhaps spread that I am a grumpy b@st@rd who tales no prisoners
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

When I do pick up a cold call I always say "I charge £85 per hour or part thereof to share my lifetime of experience ~ will you pay on invoice?"
If they argue I point out I am cheaper than a Barrister.
They always hang up.  eveilgrin:

I only ask for £50; my life obviously not as exciting as yours.

I agree those recorded messages are very annoying.

Not at all Uncle ~ it's just that my life has been going longer than yours.  whistle:

Feeling very frustrated over this.

Had another one this morning, and was just about to launch the 'phone  when I heard the werd Virgin.
Piggin on blower questionaire asking me to confirm tomorrows cables and other such associated shite installation. ::)

30 minutes later they (recorded message) rang back AGAIN, confirming my bloody confirmation! Shrugs:

Have to become a lot more of a problem before I spend the £100 on it. (plus £20 p.a. for the internet option)
