How and where do I save my emails?

Before I use the link that BM kindly posted for me to remove aoHELL from this thing, how and where  do I go about saving/transferring all of my emails?

Mrs G has about 400 of them, mainly unread! Shocked:
Minly shite probably, but she doesn't want to lose them apparently. Shrugs:

I have about 20 unread...mostly shite,  whistle: but some of the read ones I want to keep, plus me email addy book with me cussies accounts dept addys within for doing me monthly statements
