When does banter become bullying?
« on: April 12, 2013, 06:47:25 PM »
Young G cub is very upset tonight.

He's getting loads of grief from some of the other drivers, mainly green eyed monsters that are seemingly jealous of him securing his new job, and for getting his new car too.

Just thrown his wage slip envelope at me, and someone has written 'MILLIONAIRE ££££££'s all over it.

Now I love a good bit of banter myself, helps the day go 'round,  but it has to be done (IMO) between two, or more, consenting individual/s, NOT done in a slimey behind your back manner, and also, dragging it on with the same old shit for several weeks.

Young cub was actually asked by a member of staff that he bumped into today, at his shortly to be, new employer, was it all true, 'cus it's spreading around the new depot that you are in fact a millionaire. eeek:

He is currently absolutely enraged. Angry9:

Told him that, but it's dragging on into the third week now, and he's quite rightly getting pretty pissed off with it.

I suggested he pins the offending envelope up in the staff room with a message...."'tell this to me to my face"......(and I'll get me dad in to punch yer friggin' lights out  lol: )

We all get bullied and bully to some extent.  As BM said the worst thing is to show it's got to you, only encourages it.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Putting the bullying to one side, I'd be wanting to know how the hell anybody had access to the wage-slip to write on it in the first place

No lads. I said wage slip envelope, not wage slip.

The gaffer leaves them in the staff room on the table for them to pick up as they finish their shifts.

He text his boss this evening, and give him his due, he rang him straight away, but like BM' said, he's simply told him to ignore the ignorant peasants and not let it get to him.

Bit late for that now, as it clearly already has. whistle:

He's doing some detective work tomorrow morning, as the writing on his envelope was very distinctive.
Apparently, you write your own details on clocking on cards, so he's going to check those that he is suspicious of. scared2:

I overheard him saying to his boss...."It's just like being back at bloody primary school"

Can't actually disagree on that one. whistle:

Why does the phrase, 'don't burn your bridges behind you' suddenly spring to mind? rubschin:

Top tip anyway Apey. Thumbs:
I'll go in with da boys at the end of next week, and cause some bovva. eveilgrin:
No one upsets my Bear cub. evil:

I remember the bastard that broke his nose when he was 14, but he wouldn't point the scumbag out to me 'cus he knew I was going to dish out the same as punishment.

Still don't know who it was to this day. Banghead

Remember having a big verbal bust up with the headmaster over the evil cu*ts 2 day suspension as a 'punishment'. Angry9:

I took the cub to the Nurburg Ring to watch the 24 hour race as some sort of comfort compensation later that same week while he was off school recovering.

Ignore it, or...

Spread the rumour he's a "Secret Millionaire" like the TV show and he's going to be giving out large amounts to deserving people.
