I'm hoping that there'll be a "protest" vote tomorrow but I fear to many revert to type when confronted with the voting slip and there will be no change.
I rather suspect UKIP will poll more than 22% in the Bickering local electionHim having the IT spanners likeUKIP at 22% nationally, definite protest vote and imho shows the woeful inability of the gubberment front bench to actually communicate. Could be self defeating for UKIP though. In 2015 some are going to think they voted a UKIP councillor in in 2013 and still nuffin changed
I got a second leaflet this morning. The incumbent Conservative councillor. Interesting wording on the EU: "We back the Referendum on our future within the EU"
The UK Independence Party have made early gains as the results of council elections across England are declared.UKIP have won at least 26 seats so far and are averaging 26% of the vote in the wards where they are standing.Polling expert Prof John Curtice said it was a "remarkable performance".The Conservatives have lost control of Lincolnshire and Gloucestershire councils, but retained five others, while Labour made modest gains in the Midlands and the south of England.Labour have also been celebrating victories in the parliamentary by-election in South Shields, where UKIP finished second and the Lib Dems were relegated to the seventh. And Labour candidate Norma Redfearn defeated the Conservative incumbent Linda Arkley in the North Tyneside mayoral contest.
There was a queue of 1 at my Polling Station.
I've seen the news ... he must have done.
