I echo all the views above - I have observed his wit and wisdom, and admired both. 

I had no direct interaction with him, but feel like I have lost a friend.

If people do wish to make donations to the Heart Foundation I suggest they do it directly rather than using the Donate button and all those complications. Like BM I have bunged them £50

Something they will remember that will show the high esteem in which his friends held him, not a drop in the ocean for some charity that will spend it on a new logo or something.
