The Famous Four!  lol:
well as I'm something like member 354 I saw far too little time of his work here which is very sad.  What I did get was the considerable benefit of his wise private advice when I joined here.

RIP Malcolm, many thanks and my sincere condolences to his family and all those that knew and loved him

I got home from work a little while ago and promptly nodded off, so I've only just logged on to find this devastating news. Like most, I never had the pleasure of meeting Malcolm but felt I knew him through his postings. This place won't seem the same without him. Please pass on my sincere condolensces to his family Nick.

Wow, that first thread. Has it really been that long since we all came here?

I think the overwhelming theme here is the support he gave so many of us "behind the scenes". Ive spent a lovely time today looking through all the old pms he sent me. In law, marriage, pregnancy, child, work advice. Incredible.

My Dad died when I was 21 and I still feel such utter saddness that he never got to know me as an adult. He and I had a similar relationship to Snoops and his daughter.  So sad that they'll never get to move beyond that.

I'm rambling now. Sleep deprevation and two bottles of San Miguel will do that to a girl. I only drink that at sunset to remember very special people and Snoops was absolutely one of those.

Well said Wenchie, he was a real rock to lots of people and his legacy must touch so many lives.
Time for another malty drink in his honour.  cry:

I have to go now, but I was wondering if we could just leave the back door of the pub ajar tonight, with an ashtray of full of something nearby … just in case … would hate to think of anyone scratching the door, and not being able to get in...

Good plan.

Meanwhile, just got back from up 'me 'ill' and as usual, I surveyed the surrounding beauty from up there.
I've often used to look down towards where he lived and wondered what the wiley owld buzzard was up too whilst standing up there freezin' me tits off. rubschin:

It was actually quite sad doing that tonight, but as I was alone up there, ( I THINK  scared2: ) I did say 'ELLO to him out loud like.
Hope he piggin' eard me and not anyone else like. redface:

It'll be with a pang of sadness now when I meander up there, thinking like I did tonight, that I never did manage to accompany the grumpy owld fart  cloud9: up there in the off roading wheel chair buggy thing that I suggested he purchased several times. cry:

I have to agree. Only a month or so ago I asked his opinion on the Royal Holloway University where his daughter is studying as my daughter had gone down there for a look see. His reply was informative and full of useful advice about finding a university place.

He always had time to help others.

I never met him but I miss him.

What a wonderful thing, to be remembered and missed by people who didn't even meet him. That is surely something special.

God bless Snoops. It was indeed a pleasure.
