Do most Egyptians value their native wildlife?
The ibis is something I always associate with Egypt; also the crocodile, the vulture and eagle; water birds like flamingos and herons; gazelles, gerbils [?] and the wild cat that may be the ancestor of Egypt's famous domestic cats. Can a visitor see any of these animals in the wild?

It seems that "Yes, it is delicious" is not an acceptable answer

Sophisticated Redneck Wedding Ideas?
There's a contradiction for you lol.

My fiance and I are getting married next August (2012) and we've come to the conclusion that we have half of a conclusion. I want my ceremony to be traditional: White dress, tuxes, and everything else, but in the end, we're both pretty country. I'm from a small town and he moved out her from Colorado, cowboy hat and all. We want the reception to be fun and kind of redneck, a giant BBQ, possibly a mechanical bull, and I'm changing into jeans (still wearing a pretty white shirt though).

Halloween wedding cake! opinion everyone? )?
You may have seen some of my other questions about my upcoming wedding, but here's a little background info

My fiance and I will be getting married this Halloween and we are having a fun but classy theme.
The decorations will be whimsical and dark as opposed to childish and cliche.

We are making the cake ourselves, well...mostly me haha
because I love to bake, plus its cheaper than paying someone to make one.

Our cake will be 4 layers, and the colors will be turquoise and black, which are our wedding colors.
The layers will be like this:

largest/bottom layer: black fondant with turquoise fondant bow going around
next layer: black fondant, stripped with turquoise fondant
next layer: checkered turquoise/black fondant
final, top layer: same as bottom layer, only smaller.

we will decorate the cake with zombie figurines and little fondant tombstones
the cake topper is a bride and groom holding guns, like we're fighting the zombies.

what do you think? its supposed to be cute and comical because that suits us. and my fiance LOVES zombies )

I think it's a lovely idea. My cousin did a Halloween theme as well with a witch and Frankenstein monster cake topper.

Oh, and if you want to continue the theme if a quirky way, may I suggest getting a life sized creature that can come out when the dancing starts (yes, my cousin did have one... a life sized Frankenstein monster with glowing red eyes). I guarantee it'll make people laugh and people will be standing in line to dance with the creature.

Is it appropriate to ask for OTC medications, tampons, and personal lubricant on a wedding registry?
We have received a wedding invitation from my cousin and his fiance and not only are the registries listed on the invitation itself, but the items on the Target registry seem completely inappropriate. We opened the online registry to find all the "normal" items you would expect to see. However, in addition to these items, there was a list of over 50 items that would most likely be on a personal Target list, not a wedding registry. These items are things like OTC medications, tampons, face lotion, batteries, and personal lubricant.

Several family members are completely horrified and embarrassed for them and for our family. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? And if so, what did you do?
