A magical Evening
« on: July 28, 2013, 07:17:11 PM »
Yesterday I was “up North” supposedly watching a 80 minutes of rugby. Broncos were dire, Wigan were brilliant, it was like boys against men. Anyway, at 58 – 0 I thought sod this for a game of soldiers, I might as well leave now, beat the traffic leaving the ground and give mum and dad 25 minutes more of my time

I’d rung mum in the morning and asked if she could get the large box of old photos down from upstairs so I could rummage through them. What followed brought many many smiles from all of us, of times remembered, being reminded of things we’d long forgotten about. There were photos of mum, dad, brother, sisters, grand-parents, great grandparents, great great grandparents, my kids, my grandkids, Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews etc etc;  and one little detail i a photo would set us off reminiscing about all sorts.

I can honestly say it’s the best few hours I’ve spent with them in many a year and I’ve come away with loads of photos to scan and hopefully improve, as the years haven’t been kind to some of the photos. Stuff the rugby, I’m on cloud nine  cloud9:  cloud9:  cloud9:

lol:  Due to a faulty key I couldn't get into the room. The woman in the next room came out cos she could probably hear me cussing. I said I'll go and get the key reset and she said, "I'll come down with you, we ordered a room for three and there's only two beds" I said "if she's a looker I have a spare one" ...... now, if it was in the films...  cry:
