I wouldn't despair at the early results.  The Championship teams were always likely to take the cup hits early.  The Champions League teams (for Apey, Baldy and moi) will be taking hits after December and if really unlucky/crap can each take one more hit than Forest can
Well, whatever, nevermind

And we have another Calamity and a controversial one at that

"Fernando Torres is heading for an early bath after picking up a yellow card for jumping into Jan Vertonghen. TV replays showed that to be a very harsh and slightly bemusing decision"
Well, whatever, nevermind

You wait ages for one and along come  2 Calamities one each for Apey and Misty

"A bit of ping-pong ensues before Palace, sensing an opportunity, counter attack and the Moroccan sprints towards the other end before being felled by Mikel Arteta."

"Leeds defender Tom Lees gets an unfortunate touch off Adam Hammill's ball into the box to divert it into his own net."

Oh noes  noooo:, does not apply

"Deducting 5 points for a moderate calamity for the club:
KO - knocked out of a cup competition the club took seriously (IE for a club in Europe the League Cup does not count) "

IMHO putting Bendtner on as a starting striker is 100% proof they weren't taking it seriously

Of course Arsenal, Chelsea and United could have the Uber Calamity of getting knocked out of two European cup competitions (as did United a while back)
Well, whatever, nevermind

 Calamity for Boogs' Forest

"34:06 Penalty conceded by Djamel Abdoun (Nottingham Forest) after a foul in the penalty area.  Djamel Abdoun (Nottingham Forest) is shown the red card for a bad foul. "

There is a suggestion that Rooney scored an own goal today but seems the ref said it was not.  Have to wait for the dubious goals panel on that one

Arse!  Calamity for United

"Marouane Fellaini's Manchester United career hits another early stumbling block, the Belgian is sent off in the 90th minute for a second yellow card after a clumsy challenge on David Zurutuza "

Only Snoopy RIP has the angelic record right now
