As said midweek  Calamities for Apey and Tipsy but no table change

"RED CARD- Southampton 2-2 Arsenal - Mathieu Flamini
Mathieu Flamini. Two-footed lunge on Morgan Schneiderlin. Red card. No complaints."
"RED CARD- Tottenham 0-1 Man City - Danny Rose
And the Spurs full-back is given his marching orders, despite seeming to get to the ball. The hosts are furious."

Updated table:

I see Howard Webb decides that Calamity football is far more important than what little is left of his once good reputation with a stupid sending off

But they all count
Well, whatever, nevermind

At this rate Sam will still be in football long after Webb isn't.  A very dumb decision reacting to blatant play acting by Chico
Well, whatever, nevermind

Just the one Calamity over the weekend then (for Uncle)

"RED CARD- West Ham 2-0 Swansea - Andy Carroll
Andy Carroll's off - and I'm not quite sure why. The big striker goes up for a physical, aerial challenge with Chico Flores and, in the motion of coming down and untangling himself from the Swansea defender, he unintentionally clips his opponent on the back of the head. And I mean clips. Very harsh."

I should think that this latest calamity will be overturned on appeal. Even the Swansea boss thought it was a bit harsh.

Indeed it was an absolute scandal of a decision but it was still a calamity on the day and imho this game is all about schadenfreude.

So what do others think?  If a red card is successfully appealed should the calamity be struck off too?

(As a comparison the official premier league Fantasy Football says it counts even if successfully appealed)

Well, whatever, nevermind

So it's a moot point now for Carroll but as I can see the expressed views:

- Uncle says a successful appeal means the calamity is struck off
- Apey says he backs Uncle's view
- I am happy to go with what the majority think
- No one else has a view

So I propose to modify the rules to so say calamities are subject to the appeal .  Please can Uncle as joint rules Czar confirm he agrees
