Wasn't nuffink exciting really - swiss franc mortgages - a friend (past tense) asking me if I would have had a swiss franc mortgage like wot she did and is now suing the bank for mis-selling. FFS does it really need spelling out? Why take a mortgage out in a currency that you don't earn in? Her original 220K loan is now nudging 400k  Naturally is not her fault. Also pity the poor people behind her who bought kwality apartments on the site of a spa for 290k and surprise surprise, the spa was never built. Doesn't anyone here do their homework? Would they have bought in the UK without a reputable solicitor, a survey and a full search? No, so why do they think it is ok here?

As with all these rows, things rapidly spiralled downwards, got personal and Swillers had to step in to save my honour - I was quite surprised really - and rather touched.....
