Anyway.

The people that run this flat are really tight.

Although it's nicely appointed they will not leave even the most basic things. Me & Mrs TG have rented a lot of self catering flats/cottages around the UK and most leave the basics for you even if they were left by previous tennants.

We have had to go out and buy the simple things like salt & pepper, toilet roll, bin bags, washing up liquid & similar.

I will be taking everything back and not leave them for the next tennants as we normally would, even If I have to buy an extra suitcase to get the groceries home!

Anywho, carol service at 4pm in York Minster. Should be nice.

Carol thingy was good. Nice to be part of such an historic tradition in such a place as York Minster.

The Archbishop of York gave me a friendly nod as he passed me. Obviously my fame walks before me.

Jaysus. Is this how long since I have gotten away for the xmas period?

Anywho, Thursday, off to Ludlow where we have rented a cottage for 4 nights. Other people will be joining us the interfering bastards but heigh-ho.

Do they have the internet so near to the welsh border one wonders?
