Wonder if you could use this on a laptop on a 'plane, so you can see exactly where you're flying over?  rubschin:
Luv the height and speed features too.

AFFS  cussing:

Wha'? Shrugs:

Just been watching two Ryanair 'planes having a race over Wirral. One from Edinburgh and one just taken off from Scallypool, both on their way to Spain. Thumbs:

I know. I live under the take off flight path (wind direction permitting) for Scallypool airport, and love watching them fly over at approx 2,500ft, and often wonder where they're flying off to.

Going on a lickle Greek Island hollyday shortly, and where I'm staying is directly under the flight path to and from the airport 4 miles away.
Some on 'Trip Advisor' moan about it, but I'm positively looking forward to lying on the beach watching them coming and going, and so low too. cloud9:

Why book to stay there knowing it's so close to the airport, bleedin' munters. Banghead

Until they let you use WiFi or 3G on a plane then no you can't

It is good though and also works very well on the iPhone and there is also a ship one.

BTW it only shows aircraft that have ADS-B transceivers that are switched on so you won't get too many military aircraft showing.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Given that there are experiments going on at the moment to allow aircraft satellite internet connections I'd say it should be possible before too much longer if not already.

At a guess I'd say it tells the baggage handlers how long they have to skive off between landings.  rubschin:

I'm guessing there is a mobile app that does the same thing that they have paid for.
