TG's domestic advice and household tips thread.

Do not microwave rock hard butter to make it spreadable.

You will never get it right and it will drip everywhere.

Plus, if you keep doing it said butter will be rancid before it's time.

If soaking raisins in rum, jab a hole in EACH AND EVERY raisin with a pin.

Soak for 24 hours.

You shall thusly become pissed on everything you cook using said product.

Also, when you drain raisins the rum is still perfectly palatable.

Trust me on this.
