"Of course ~ I've just realised ~ Tail Gunners always face the back so you have no idea where you are going ~ EVER!"

Your point being?

Well?

So you don't need a map!  point:
You always ask the pilot.

?

Pilot faces front = knows where he is going
Tail Gunner faces back = knows where he has been
Gorrit?  Banghead

I wish I'd never started this thread

All I asked was how far it was from Tonypandy!

I wish you hadnt started this thread either!

14.9 miles to Here:
St Fagans Castle.

A walk around Wales ? from Celtic times to the present day.

St Fagans is one of Europe's foremost open?air museums and Wales's most popular heritage attraction. It stands in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagans Castle, a late 16th-century manor house donated to the people of Wales by the Earl of Plymouth. During the last fifty years, over forty original buildings from different historical periods have been re-erected in the 100-acre parkland.

The re-erected buildings include houses, a farm, a school, a chapel and a splendid Workmen's Institute. There are also workshops where craftsmen still demonstrate their traditional skills. Their produce is usually on sale.

Native breeds of livestock can be seen in the fields and farmyards, and demonstrations of farming tasks take place daily. Visitors gain an insight into the rich heritage and culture of Wales, and the Welsh language can be heard in daily use amongst craftsmen and interpreters.

There are also galleries with exhibitions of costume, daily life and farming implements. Special exhibitions are also held regularly. Throughout the year, St Fagans comes to life ? literally ? as traditional festivals, music and dance events are celebrated.

St Fagans explores all aspects of how people in Wales have lived, worked and spent their leisure time. Like generations of visitors, you will be inspired by its celebration of Welsh traditions and lifestyles.

Ah! Hope the weather holds for you. The Brecon Beacons are spectacular at this time of the year and are just up the road. I spent many happy summer weekends, in my youth, camping and walking up on the Beacons though I confess Tonypandy never impressed me.

I got dragged to see The Simpsons film this afternoon. ?20 (including drinks and stuff) and utter rubbish. I know a film is bad when I look at my watch and notice we have only been in the cinema for 10 minutes. evil:

I've jumped the gun a bit and done one of the new cupboards this afternoon whilst family were out looking (unsuccessfully) for ripe blackberries. Well the carcass is put together and is in place, only doors and fittings to do tomorrow. At this rate my week may end early ~ but I doubt that it will be that easy  censored:

You will gather that t'lad is walking again ~ albeit with a cut out plimsole on one foot.

Ah ~ None of us except TG can understand "Why Tonypandy?"

As for the thread in general maybe this will help:

Then again ~ Maybe it won't.
