The WHO is a farce - we're doomed...

Unfortunately I agree, the only Ebola variant that evolved to aerosol transmission thankfully didn't manage to jump the species barrier but the longer this outbreak lasts the more diverse the range of hosts and the more chance there is of it happening. Given that global air coverage means you can be anywhere in the world in 24 hours the implications are terrifying. The CDC, USAMRIID, Porton Down, The Pasteur Insitute and Biopreparat (at least before the fall of the Soviet Union, don't know about any incarnation afterwards) have all been working on the virus for decades and while there have been advances in available treatments there still isn't a viable vaccine or cure.

Because they have become infested with the type of people that care more about equality, diversity, smoking bans, global warming, etc. than curing or controlling diseases like Ebola... 

And it costs us $Billionteens for the privilege...
