Another one yesterday, that basically took all day.

Now, a quick disk cleanup shows I can delete the previous Windows installations...29.8GB... rubschin:

I'm picking up a second-hand Asus Laptop this morning to use as a backup.

The seller is going to 'Factory Reset' it which presumably means I'll be downloading updates until June before I can use it... ::)

Another update I didn't want overnight Thursday.  All the files I was working on saved as weird named autorecovered files

And then another one last night did it again.  I go into the settings to find that for reasons known only to Microshit they have decided this PC is Mrs K's and not mine.   FFS  Banghead

Think I've sorted it
Well, whatever, nevermind

Since the latest update, startup times increased considerably and Firefox takes ages to initially load too  cussing:

Another irritating thing is Cortana - easy enough to take it out of the startup programs, but it will fire up if you use the search function from the start button.  A quick bit of regeditry kills it off for good.

Only since the latest update - prior to that you could just turn it off via a pill switch or Speech, inking, & typing, and click "Stop getting to know me."

Now it seems, regedit or gpedit.msc.

Didn't that organisation I best not name (but rhymes with Bee You) get really tough with them for doing stuff like that?

I seem to remember Microshaft telling us that this would be the final version of Windows...  Banghead

So what new features would we like to see in Windows 11?

A file download timer that actually works?

A decent in built email App - like they had in Windows 7

No naggings about how Edge and Bing are better than Chrome and Google - no one believes them

Other than that I'm thinking don't fix what ain't broke

Well, whatever, nevermind
