All went well, good turnout of family and friends and his daughter held it together well. A few tears but plenty of laughs later at the wake as we shared memories and recounted various stories and anecdotes.

That is how it should be "A celebration of their life" and all that. Not always easy but better by far than the all-in-black whispering and sobbing kind.
When I go, I want a knees-up that everybody will remember for the rest of their days.
Perhaps I should start selling tickets now?
