Hugs.

My father died in January & although he was 87 it was still a shock.
He had a heart attack late on the Wednesday night & was taken to Harefield Hospital,
but at least we were able to be there when they switched off his life support systems midday Thursday.

Sorry to hear that.....

We are just trying to rally around Mum so she doesn't feel too lonely.
I couldn't ask for better friends. I could ask for more NORMAL friends, but not better ones.

Good plan.  That's what we did with my Mum and looking back that helped us too

All went well, good turnout of family and friends and his daughter held it together well. A few tears but plenty of laughs later at the wake as we shared memories and recounted various stories and anecdotes.

I think I've talked to my niece more in the past month than in the previous 10 years. She's a really good egg and just like her dad. He was really proud of her, shame he never really told that.
