Lying
« on: November 05, 2015, 10:54:27 AM »
I consider myself to be quite an honest person  but then i was thinking yeterday about how many lies a day do I tell  eeek:

Albeit it is a particularly bad week as The Brat should have returned to college on Monday after half term  but  was oin holiday in tenerife. Their attendance policy is very strict . So she has had " food poisoning" for 3 days  ::) She will be the only person ever to have put on weight after such a illness  noooo:

Then when my boss asks me if I have done certain things of course I have nearly completed it etc - when it fact it had compleltely slipped off my radar.

I have made up excuses to not go out to certain events etc

My conclusion is that I have even lied to myself about how honest I am  sad32:

But can we trust that ^ now?

We all tell small lies, we all fail to correct honestly made but mistaken comments.  Not right but there are far worse things.

Bit of an opportunity missed with the Brat though, think of the leverage threatening to dob her in would have got you.
Well, whatever, nevermind

I have one friend who absolutely insists she never lies . Never . Not even to her children.

Not even little white lies  noooo:

I just don't see how that is possible  redface:

She completely stopped talking to one friend over something ridiculous because she found out that she had lied about why her child could not go to their daughters party . Or some such nonsense.

IMHO she has selective recall

I really try to never tell lies but then one slips out and I'm thinking "why did I say that?"  And do I correct the lie?  Mostly  noooo:   redface:

No Santa, Tooth fairy or Easter bunny?

Miserable cow. Her children will be more damaged by missing out those fibs.

That is her argument . She has never introduced these characters into her childrens lives and therefore has never lied to them in that respect. She has 'informed' them that many children believe in them but they are 'mythical'  ::)

However she believes in God  Banghead
